About Menacing Chibis

We are breaking the Generative PFP meta. Menacing Chibis is not just your typical PFP (Profile Picture) NFT. You're minting a character design; a brand; an identity.

Menacing Chibis is a customizable, gamified NFT PFP collection from Rolling-kai. The goal is to "mint your own Chibi" from a pool of traits and upgrade or change them through mini-games in our discord server.

  1. Phase 0: Pre-launch

  2. Status: Ongoing

    The Honorary Invitational is an important part of our project. This is our way of rewarding our early supporters by giving them the rarest-looking Chibis possible. Almost all traits from the Honoraries will be unique and would not be part of the Phase 1's "Build your own Chibi".

    The funds earned from the Honorary Invitational will be used for improving our Artists's equipment at first.

    After which, the rest of the funds will be distributed among the team and RK treasury. The funds in the RK treasury will be staked in a DeFi protocol to generate passive income, and in turn fuel the team to create more dope sh*t.
    The split is currently TBD.

  3. Status: Ongoing

    In this period, our main artist will be working on the Honorary Chibis and the supporting artist would be working on the "Limited Pool of Traits" for Phase 1 at the same time.

    This period would last indefinitely until the Honorary Queue is exhausted.

  4. Status: Continuous

    One of our goals is to make your involvement in the Menacing Chibis as immersive as possible. With that, our writers continuously publish written lore in our discord to bring your characters to life.

    We believe that aside from holding plenty of other NFTs, one should hold a "Forever PFP" that would encapsulate how one would really look like in the Metaverse. This would then open plenty of possibilities for your character such as Full-body rendering, 3D, Pixelated, VTuber Model, and more.

  5. The Menacing DAO is quite different from other DAOs. Instead of governing the Rolling-kai Guild itself, The Menacing DAO would govern the Rolling-kai Universe Written Lore and partially, The Menacing Chibis Ecosystem.

    Want RB to not participate in a crucial fight scene? Vote for it. Want your character to grab the spotlight in a particular scene? Vote for it.
    Want a character to die? Vote for it.

  6. Daily Lives of Rolling-kai is a Twitter Bot that would tweet periodically about Chibis's Daily Lives. Again, this is more on the Lore part. And it would give much more flavour to the personality of the Chibis + what they are up to inside the Rolling-kai Guild. Well, at least in a fictional sense.

    If you want to have an idea how this works, this is a very primitive example of how the Twitter Bot would look like: @bot_adventurer.

  1. Phase 1: MVP

  2. Build your own Chibi is going to be our Minimum Viable Product or MVP. Instead of minting a randomly generated Chibi, you can choose traits for your own Chibi's character design from a Limited Pool.
    The same Chibi cannot be minted again.

    Chibis minted from Build your own Chibi would be nameless. They would appear as Menacing Chibi #321, for example. And unfortunately, they will be not included in the Rolling-kai Universe Lore due to their lack of name and backstory.

    There is a way, for them to be "named", though. More on that later.

  3. In this period, commissions for the Honorary Menacing Chibis will be minted and airdropped to their respective owners. By default, they will be nameless, and the next item in the list would fix that.

  4. Honorary Menacing Chibi holders will be awarded with a Letter NFT. Think of this NFT as a Name Tag in other online games. And by consuming/burning this NFT, the selected Menacing Chibi could then be renamed at any point in time and as well as change its lore/backstory/description in OpenSea.

    To do this, we will be having a Metadata Portal for updating your Chibis. More on that later.

    We will also airdrop additional Letter NFTs to our Honorary Holders as a reward. The holders could choose to sell these NFTs to the secondary market or use them in case they want to add more named characters to their disposal.
    The amount of additional Letter NFTs to be airdropped is TBD.

    The soft-supply cap for the ERC-1155 Letter NFT is 1,214 pieces. The decision whether we should increase the cap in the future will be decided by the Menacing DAO.

  5. Writers can browse named Chibis in the Menacing Chibi Gallery and use this to write their own headcanon lores.
    Or maybe even integrate it to the canon lore if they passed certain guidelines.

  6. The Metadata Portal is a crucial part of the Menacing Chibis Ecosystem. The main things one could do in the portal are:

    For named Chibis: Update their name and description. Update their traits such as background, accessories, etc.* Plus other yet to be announced utility features.

    For unnamed Chibis: Update their traits such as background, accessories, etc.*

    *New traits can be acquired from our Gamification and other Rolling-kai NFT integrations.

  7. Landmarks is a Banner NFT Collection from Rolling-kai. These NFTs can be used as a background for your Menacing Chibi in The Metadata Portal.

  1. Phase 2: Gamification

  2. Ro11ingButler Mk.II is going to be our primary Discord Bot for awarding Menacing Chibi Trait NFTs such as accessories, backgrounds, weapons, etc. It will also handle the Gamification of the Chibis in our Discord server.

  3. There are planned Mini-Games to be implemented in our Discord Server such as Cleaning, Fishing, Foraging, Hunting, Battling, and Cooking. And ERC-1155 NFTs will be awarded from these activities to our holders.

    These NFTs could then be combined or burned to produce new equippable traits for your Chibis.

    Additional activities in the future and their rewards will be decided by the Menacing DAO.
